Welcome to Atlas Outfitting’s Newsletter!

Missouri River Boat Ramp

We are starting this newsletter to keep you in the loop with our upcoming events, an updated local fishing report, and new offerings from Atlas Outfitting!

“Have we been fishing in February?” Absolutely! If the weather heats up enough for us to brave the cold, the fishing has been great on the Missouri River just outside of Helena, Montana. Here are a few pictures of our guide, Mike Burk, who has been seizing the opportunity outside of his winter work to take people on the water. We have been booking recent winter fishing trips and strongly encourage you to do so too! Many don’t consider winter time fishing trips but it is a good way to get out of the house and find solitude with a fly rod. Just be sure to book with a weather window on either side of your desired fishing date so we can jump days if we have to.

Be sure to get on the books for an early Spring fishing trip between March and May. This time of year is my personal favorite to fish. There are fewer people on the water and the trout haven’t seen a fly all winter long. The water this time of the year is running at good flow and is chilled to perfection from the recent ice off. We are filling up our spring season quickly and are already 50% booked for our 2025 spring floats and Land of the Giants trips! Click this link to inquire about dates if you are interested.

Keep an eye out for our new Atlas Outfitting apparel in the coming months. We will have hats, sun hoodies, and sweatshirts for you to represent Atlas Outfitting on and off the water. See below for some sneak peeks!

Next up, for our Texas Folks, come visit us at the Guadalupe Trout Unlimited Texas Trade show on February 21st-23rd just outside of Austin, TX. This is Atlas Outfitting’s 1st Trade Show and we can’t wait to meet new people and help you get out on the water. Get more information and buy tickets here!
